1. Aims and Scope

The Applied Journal of Digital Innovation (AJDI) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing applied research and innovation in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

The journal welcomes interdisciplinary manuscripts that explore the design, implementation, and social impact of digital solutions across education, health, sustainability, and management domains. AJDI particularly encourages empirical studies, innovative methodologies, and theoretical contributions that address the ethical, human, and sustainable dimensions of digital innovation.

2. Editorial Policy

AJDI publishes original, high-quality research articles, reviews, and case studies that contribute to the global understanding of applied digital innovation. Submitted manuscripts must be unpublished and not under review elsewhere.

The editorial team ensures a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, full transparency, and compliance with international publication ethics. The editorial policy is guided by principles of integrity, diversity, and inclusion in academic communication.

3. Peer-Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to AJDI undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Each submission is initially evaluated by the Editorial Office for relevance, originality, and adherence to the journal’s submission guidelines.

Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are assigned to at least two external reviewers with recognized expertise in the subject area.

Decisions are based on the reviewers’ recommendations, and authors may be invited to revise their manuscripts before final acceptance.
The average review period ranges between 4 and 8 weeks.

4. Open Access Statement

AJDI is an open-access journal based on the principle that scientific research should be freely accessible to everyone.

All published articles are immediately available online without subscription or access fees, and the journal does not charge submission or publication fees (APCs).

Authors retain copyright under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided the original work is properly cited.

5. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

AJDI strictly adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure integrity and transparency in the publication process.

Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic honesty, confidentiality, and conflict-of-interest disclosure.

Any suspicion of plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical behavior will result in immediate editorial action, including possible retraction of the article.

6. Frequency and Language

The AJDI follows a continuous publication model, where articles are typeset and published upon acceptance within a single annual volume.
The call for submissions remains open throughout the year.

All content is published exclusively in English to promote global accessibility and indexation.

7. Archiving and Digital Preservation

AJDI ensures long-term preservation and accessibility of its digital content through Portico, which provides secure and permanent archiving of all published materials.

All articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and registered with Crossref to guarantee proper citation and persistent linking.

8. Copyright and Licensing

All works published in AJDI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license allows users to share and adapt the material for any purpose  including commercial use  as long as appropriate credit is given to the authors and the journal.

9. Editorial Board

The Editorial Board of AJDI is composed of international scholars, researchers, and professionals specializing in digital innovation, artificial intelligence, educational technology, and applied sciences.

Members are selected for their academic excellence, professional expertise, and regional diversity, ensuring global representation and high editorial standards.

10. Indexing and Abstracting

AJDI is committed to enhancing visibility, discoverability, and accessibility through recognized abstracting and indexing services.

The journal adheres to international metadata and DOI standards through Crossref registration and is pursuing inclusion in Latindex, DOAJ, Redalyc, and Scopus, following all editorial and technical evaluation criteria.
